12 months ago By Neil Ross

The buzz is getting real as we gear up for the 66th Grammy Awards, and guess what? SZA is stealing the show with a whopping nine nominations! This sets the stage for a night of diverse and genre-bending musical festivities.

Nominations Snapshot

SZA leads with nine nods, closely trailed by Phoebe Bridgers, Serban Ghenea, and Victoria Monét, each scoring seven nominations. Big names like Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, boygenius, Brandy Clark, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift are in the mix with six nominations each.

Details on the Big Night

Get ready for the 2024 Grammy Awards, making a comeback at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Feb 4, 2024. It’s going down live on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+ from 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

Harvey Mason Jr., the head honcho at the Recording Academy, is thrilled about the diverse nominee lineup. He gushed, “From breakthrough acts to legacy artists, we are amazed by all the musicians recognized for their outstanding contributions to music today.”

Fresh Categories in the Mix

This year brings us three shiny new categories: Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording. Notably, the addition of Best African Music Performance shows a nod to the global impact of African music. Joe Levy, a big shot at Rolling Stone and Observer, highlighted the global success of African recording artists.
