Australian Singer Kid LAROI And BTS’ Jungkook Are Likely To Collaborate

1 years ago By Movies Desk

Australian singer-songwriter and rapper, The Kid Laroi, recently ignited speculations of a potential collaboration with BTS’ Jungkook. This buzz began when The Kid Laroi posted a video of Jungkook singing his song “STAY,” originally released in collaboration with Justin Bieber. The video showed Jungkook passionately performing the song during one of his Weverse live sessions, accompanied by finger heart, teary-eyed, and “coming soon” emoticons, fueling rumors of an upcoming collaboration.

The collaboration rumors gained further momentum when it was discovered that The Kid Laroi would be performing at the 2023 Busan International Rock Festival in Busan, South Korea, on October 8. This fact is significant as Busan is not only the hometown of BTS member Jungkook but also holds a cryptic hint about their future cooperation.

Fans, known as ARMYs, are eagerly speculating that Jungkook might make a surprise appearance on The Kid Laroi’s stage at the festival. This belief is strengthened by The Kid Laroi’s Instagram story, which hints at a potential performance of “STAY” at the event.

Notably, The Kid Laroi previously collaborated with Justin Bieber on the chart-topping single “STAY,” making this potential collaboration with Jungkook even more exciting for fans.

The Kid Laroi has openly expressed his admiration for BTS, particularly Jungkook. He mentioned that it would be “pretty sick” to have Jungkook, often referred to as the “golden maknae” of BTS, on board for a remake of “STAY” with Justin Bieber. He also mentioned witnessing Jungkook jamming to “STAY” in one of his Weverse live sessions and found it “really cool.”

Further adding to the speculation, fans noticed that The Kid Laroi liked a tweet speculating about a collaboration with Jungkook, indicating that these rumors might indeed be true.

ARMYs are hopeful that The Kid Laroi and Jungkook will collaborate on The Kid Laroi’s upcoming debut solo album mini-album, expected to release sometime in November. Although there is no official announcement regarding this collaboration, Jungkook teased the possibility a couple of months ago on SUGA’s online drinking show, Suchwita.

Meanwhile, Jungkook is set to return on September 29 with his new single “3D,” a collaboration with American rapper Jack Harlow. This marks his second release after the hit summer single “SEVEN,” a collaboration with American rapper Latto and Korean actress Han So-hee.

According to BIG HIT MUSIC, “3D” is a pop R&B track where the singer cleverly expresses their feelings toward an unattainable loved one from the perspective of the first, second, and third dimensions. The song was previewed at the 2023 Global Citizen Music Festival, marking Jungkook’s first collaboration with Jack Harlow and BTS’ next official solo release after V’s album “Layover.”
